Traffic Engineering Project Manager

A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Traffic Engineering Project Manager <\/span> for their Indianapolis team!<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

Responsibilities: <\/span>
<\/p>

• Manage traffic studies and transportation planning efforts <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Manages traffic design projects or tasks within larger transportation projects <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Traffic Study tasks including design calculations, specifications, quantities, and construction cost estimates <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• All Traffic project tasks including manage, perform, and coordinate the project budget, schedule, project communication, and documentation <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Mentor\/train junior staff <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• Primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budget, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• <\/span><\/span><\/span> Perform internal quality control to ensure studies, designs, plans, and calculations are complete and accurate through all phases of the project <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• <\/span><\/span><\/span> Assist with business development activities including the creation of letters of response and technical proposals\/presentations <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
  
  
• <\/span><\/span><\/span> Deliver quality traffic projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client <\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>

  Requirements <\/span><\/b>
  <\/p>
  
  

  
  
  • <\/span><\/span><\/span> A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET accredited college or university with an emphasis on traffic. <\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • 5+ years of experience working on a wide variety of traffic engineering projects <\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • PE License in Indiana with the ability to obtain additional P.E. licenses in other states through reciprocity <\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • A Professional Transportation Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification <\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • Familiar with traffic study software and resources (Synchro\/SimTraffic, HCM and HCS, Sidra, Miovision data collection, ITE trip generation, highway safety manual, crash history analysis, and RoadHAT)<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
    
    
  • <\/span><\/span><\/span> Familiar with design software and resources (AutoCAD, MicroStation, SignCAD, GuideSIGN, INDOT design manual, and Indianapolis DPW design manual)<\/span>
