Sr Principal Architect, IT Applications

Salary: $65,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or equivalent experience
• We require 8 years of application systems development experience
• We require 5 years of architecture and design experience
• A masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• 5 years of technical or team leadership experience is preferred
• 2+ years of Agile methodology experience is preferred
• 2+ years of DevOps deployment process experience is preferred
• 1+ years of Palantir development or enablement experience is preferred
• Airline industry experience is preferred
• We bring a background in Enterprise or Solutions Architecture, or software engineering
• We have strong command of architecture, design patterns, and business processes
• We have mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• We understand industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• We work effectively in large, collaborative teams and are passionate about building an innovative culture
• We have experience leading technology transformations and migrating to one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI
• We are strong technical leaders who can drive outcomes and mentor delivery teams
• We have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) tools and platforms
• We have hands-on experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• We have expertise in one or more cloud-native relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and MongoDB
• We have a proven track record of building platforms and tools that accelerate technology transformation
• We have expertise with databases and migration to and from enterprise-class databases

• We provide technical direction and leadership for the architecture, design, development, and deployment of solutions used primarily at the Integrated Operations Center (IOC)
• We are responsible for the technical excellence of a major product or product group
• We create detailed designs, define patterns, code key components, troubleshoot technical issues, and address security, modernization, refactoring, and technical debt reduction
• We elevate the teams technical maturity across design, testing, availability, security, and other non-functional areas
• We manage product or product-group stakeholders as well as technical stakeholders
• We identify and mitigate IT risks while ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations
• We drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and business value
• We communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support understanding and buy-in for IT initiatives
• We develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives
