Foundry Engineer

Job Title

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design riser and gating systems using casting calculations and solidification modeling.
• Develop casting process parameters for efficient production.
• Collaborate with CAD technicians to create and maintain manufacturing drawings and models.
• Perform and optimize solidification simulations.
• Investigate production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Support cost estimation for new and existing projects.
• Participate in safety, quality, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Stay current with foundry best practices and implement improvements.
• Attend production scheduling meetings and coordinate with manufacturing teams.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of Foundry Engineering experience.
• Experience with CREO or SolidWorks CAD software.
• Background in Foundry Engineering, Metallurgy, or Welding Engineering.
• Experience with casting calculations, gating and riser design, and solidification modeling.
• Knowledge of data analysis for process improvement.
• Familiarity with manufacturing automation technologies.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
