Communicates the surgeon's preferences and specific patient needs to surgical team. Assists in positioning, prepping and draping of patients for surgical procedures. Provides retraction of tissues and organs for optimal visualization with regard to the surgical site. Assists with selecting equipment, holding incisions open, controlling bleeding, closing incisions and performing other technical duties.Minimum Qualifications:Required Education: HS Graduate or Equivalent GED and Surgical Technology First Assist CertificateRequired License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) Certification.Required Experience: At least 3 years' experience as a Surgical Tech and 1-year Surgical First Assistant experience.Location: St Josephs SouthStatus: Full Time, Exempt: NoShift Hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PMShift: Shift 1Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = VariesWeekend Work: OccasionalOn Call: YesHow often will this team member be working remotely?
