Our mission is to provide general and advanced/interventional gastroenterology services in an Affable, Affordable & Accessible manner for Accurate AnswersWe are seeking an experienced competent, conscientious, service-oriented Medical Assistant with strong character to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in a fast-paced outpatient environment, comfortable with high volume patient loads, and able to integrate quickly with training and work under the direction of the division practice manager.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient check-in and check-out.Insurance verification.Patient intake, vitals, medication reconciliationCompleting medication refills and processing medication prior authorizationsOrder entry, CPT coding, and supporting the providers with documentationUnderstanding of common medications used to treat chronic conditionsStrong proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW)Managing the fax inbox, including timely review, routing, and documentationScheduling patient appointments, follow-ups, scheduling procedures (Colon, EGD, etc.) and coordinating provider workflowsQualificationsPrevious specialty office care experience is requiredPrevious GI experience helpfulReliable attendance is essentialAbility to float to different locations as neededImmediate availability preferredIf you are a dependable, experienced Medical Assistant looking for a long-term position, we encourage you to apply.
