About Stoller CPA:
Stoller CPA is an 8-person firm in Encino, including 4 CPAs, and we’ve been in business for over 10 years. All of our CPAs came from larger firms. We built this practice to keep the quality of work and drop what we didn’t like: the long hours, the administrative busywork, and the lack of flexibility. Our clients stay with us because we do great work and we’re responsive, and our reputation reflects that.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Tax Senior with 3–6 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of client relationships and help develop our associates. Our clients are mostly small and mid-sized businesses, primarily S corporations and partnerships, with some C corporations, trusts, and individual returns.
You’ll handle more complex engagements from start to finish, including the GL cleanup that often comes before the return. You’ll also be a direct point of contact for clients.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Prepare and review S corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Review associate work on returns and general ledger adjustments
- Serve as primary contact for a group of clients
- Assist with tax planning and year-end projections
- Respond to IRS and state notices
- Train and mentor associates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3–6 years of tax experience at a national or large regional CPA firm
- Strong technical knowledge of S corporation, partnership, and individual taxation
- Comfortable working in a GL and resolving bookkeeping issues
- Experience reviewing others’ work
- CPA or actively pursueing CPA licensure
