Job Details Location: Twin Bridges, CA 95735 Salary: $20.00/hour Job Title: Snowboard Rental Lead Department: Snowboard Rentals Reports To: Rental Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Pay Status: Hourly Yearly Status: Seasonal (Full-time or Part-time) Benefit Status: None Prepared By: Sierra-at-Tahoe Prepared Date: 07/2023 About the Role Assists the supervisor with day‑to‑day operations of the Snowboard Rental Shop, providing safe and courteous service to resort guests and staff with timely and accurate issuance of rental equipment and a smooth payment process. Key Responsibilities Assist guests in selecting appropriate equipment size based on current methodologies. Adjust bindings to proper settings per rental agreement. Verify signatures and initials on liability release forms, including for minors. Tune and wax rental equipment. Process credit card sales and provide receipts. Enter data into computerized rental equipment system. Run reports, cash out, and balance drawer at end of day. Provide information about rental, lift, and ski school options. Participate in safety meetings, job sharing, and maintain a positive, friendly attitude. Meet service level objectives and department goals set by supervisor. Maintain flexible working hours. Safety Responsibilities Protect safety of self, co‑workers, and resort guests at all times. Report potentially harmful equipment or situations to supervisor promptly. Report safety‑related accidents and incidents immediately. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. Operate equipment in a safe manner. Supervisory Responsibilities In supervisor’s absence, oversee 15–30 employees; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems according to company policies and applicable laws. Qualifications High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 months related experience or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong written communication skills for routine reports and correspondence. Effective verbal communication with groups of customers or employees. Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, percents, graph interpretation. Common‑sense reasoning for following instructions and handling concrete variables. Resort certification on relevant equipment (if applicable). Physical capability to stand, talk, hear, use hands, reach, lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally. Tolerance of occasional climbing/balancing and exposure to guest interaction, mechanical parts, weather conditions, and moderate noise. Legal Must be at least 18 years of age.
