Make a meaningful difference in students’ daily lives by supporting educational and behavioral initiatives within a dynamic school environment. A contract opportunity is available for skilled paraprofessionals interested in working with K-8 students in a setting where collaboration and versatility are highly valued.
This role focuses on providing direct support for both academic and behavioral needs, ensuring that each student receives the individualized assistance necessary to thrive. The upcoming school year position begins August 20th, working from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, following a 37.5-hour week schedule. Various Behavioral Intervention (BI) positions are open, offering the chance to serve across multiple age groups and with diverse student needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Recent experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in school settings
- Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple student needs across K-8 levels
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working collaboratively with education teams
- Capable of maintaining a positive, supportive attitude with students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and classroom activities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support for students with behavioral or academic needs
- Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals as directed
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Support the behavioral intervention team with daily student engagement
- Help maintain records and document student progress
Interviews are available in person next Wednesday between 7:30 AM and 12:00 PM, with flexibility for alternate arrangements if needed.
