Maintenance Technician

Verdant Specialty Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support plant reliability through effective maintenance planning, preventive maintenance coordination, and hands-on maintenance support at our Elmendorf, Texas facility. This role combines maintenance planning responsibilities with technical maintenance execution, ensuring equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of maintenance resources.

You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities while maintaining accurate maintenance records within SAP.

This role is based on-site at our manufacturing facility and requires regular presence in both office and production environments.

What You'll Do

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities using SAP to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime.
• Coordinate maintenance work with operations and other departments to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
• Manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment records, and maintenance documentation within SAP.
• Perform and support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Support reliability initiatives, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning, scheduling, and equipment performance

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, trade school certification, or related maintenance training preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or continuous-process manufacturing environment.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience utilizing SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or a similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
