PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00). Weekends required every other weekend.

Job Description: The PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a stepdown unit. Candidates should have experience with cardiac drips and the ability to titrate and manage medications. This role includes floating between units if necessary and requires participation in the holiday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as required.
• Monitor patient progress and provide necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license (Compact license required).
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU/Stepdown or similar unit.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and blood product administration preferred.
