Brooder Crew Supervisor - Fresno (Days)

Description Salary Range: $68,640-$74,500 per year Supervise, analyze, guide and control all aspects of the Brooder Crew to promote consistent performance at the least cost, while maintaining highest quality and safety standards. Anticipate and monitor ranch and crew labor needs. Includes being responsible for orientating and training Brooder Persons to become Assistant Ranch Foreperson Trainees. Work closely with other supervisors to solve labor problems. Work closely with other supervisors to distribute labor. Responsible for training and development of Brooder Crew Leadspersons and preparing crew employees for training programs. Supervise all maintenance of equipment. Includes, justifying and purchasing new equipment as needed, and monitoring all equipment service programs. Monitor quality of all work in area of responsibility. Complete necessary records to insure that the following is accomplished: Evaluation of Brooder Crew employees Monthly. Oversee safety programs. Qualifications Strong Animal Science background/ chicken growing experience (a Bachelor of Science Degree in Poultry Science, Ag-Business or related field is preferred). Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must have strong leadership/supervisor skills with the ability to act independently and be able to evaluate fairly and objectively. Must be able to work flexible work schedules as needed to include weekends, holidays, late and early morning hours. Must have good computer skills and the ability to create and analyze data. Ability to interface with all support groups, departments and upper management. Must be able to work independently/ unsupervised and have strong time management skills. Must have a valid Class C Driver's License and maintain a good DMV driving record. Must be able to follow and enforce all company policies and guidelines including bio-security and animal welfare policies and guidelines. Must be detailed oriented and have a strong mechanical, mathematical and analytical aptitude.
