Per Diem Dietary Aide
The Beautiful Hudson Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing facility located in Westchester County seeks a Per Diem Dietary Aide to join our team. If you're looking to be a part of a dynamic team, we would love to meet you!
We are located at 65 Ashburton Ave, Yonkers, NY 10701.
Per Diem shift 11:30am-7:30pm

Position Summary
The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation, service, and delivery of meals and snacks to residents in a nursing home or long-term care facility. This role helps ensure that residents receive nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food items according to menus and therapeutic diet plans.
- Set up meal trays and ensure correct meals are delivered to residents.
- Serve meals and beverages in dining rooms and resident units.
- Assist residents during mealtimes as directed by nursing staff.
- Follow special diet instructions, including texture-modified diets and food allergies.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, dining areas, and food carts.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using approved sanitation procedures.
- Stock food, supplies, and beverages as needed.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility food safety regulations.
- Monitor food temperatures and document as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
- Attend required staff meetings and training programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service or healthcare experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
