Luminator is a worldwide industry leader, powering innovation across 85+ countries with a team of nearly 1,000 talented professionals who are shaping the next generation of mobility solutions.Luminator is seeking a Quality Supervisor that functions as a key on-the-floor quality leader within Luminator's Mass Transit Quality organization, supporting the execution of site-level quality processes and ensuring adherence to established standards. Reporting directly to the Senior Quality Manager, this position provides day-to-day guidance for Manufacturing Quality Engineering, Customer Quality Assurance, Quality Inspection, and Calibration activities. The Supervisor helps drive a disciplined quality culture on the floor, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures issues are escalated and resolved with urgency and accuracy. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.Essential Functions:Establish, implement and maintain quality practices consistent with operations and customer requirements.Direct and promote the use of diagnostic and predictive quality and continuous improvement tools and techniques including (SPC, statistical analysis, Lean, six-sigma)Perform Quality System and Process Audits including reporting audit/survey results, recommending improvements, and driving root cause and corrective action.Establishes robust corrective/preventive action systems to continually improve operational performance in meeting customer requirements (Scrap, Rework, Cost of Poor Quality, Quality Escapes, Returns)Responsible for tracking and reporting site internal and external quality metricsAssist in developing DFMEA and PFMEA for manufacturing processes and new products.Implement continuous improvement practices, including appropriate kaizen events on relevant Quality and Manufacturing processesManage the hosting of external quality system audits by third party and customersLead site QMS training process: Assure compliance to corporate Quality Assurance & Regulatory Assurance trainingDevelop talent within the QA function, undertake engagement-focused approach to professional and developmental goal creation and trackingAdditional Responsibilities:Weekly Quality Meetings — Leads weekly team meetings to review current issues, share updates, and address questions from inspectors and operations.Operations & Coverage Notifications — Sends daily/weekly notifications to Operations and Quality teams regarding staffing, absences, and coverage plans.Team Guidance & Conduct — Provides direction on professional conduct and effective handling of challenges or adversities on the floor. Timecard & PTO Approvals — Reviews and approves weekly timecards, vacation requests, and wellness time off for all inspectors.Quality Procedure Training — Conducts training on Quality procedures, process flows, and documentation requirements.Training Record Management — Completes and maintains training records; ensures proper storage and accessibility for audits and reference.Training Matrix Oversight — Updates and manages the department's training matrix to ensure compliance and readiness.Additional Departmental Tasks — Performs various other duties as assigned to support Quality operations and continuous improvement.Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field highly desired Experience:5+ years of experience leading Site Level Quality with teams of 3+ direct reports.Experience as a qualify professional within Manufacturing or automotive supplier highly preferred.Practical knowledge and leadership experience in Lean and/or six-sigma including lean management system experience a plus.Technical Skills:Technical and business knowledge to include financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel;proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Word and PowerPoint.Role is based on site at our Plano, Texas headquarters, Monday-Friday.Why You'll Love Working at Luminator Competitive compensation with career growth potential.
