Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights or Nights only), rotating schedule based on unit needs. Variable weekend coverage required. 16-week assignment with 72 hours of orientation. Staffing ratios goal 1:4, may flex to 1:5.

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit caring for both PCU and Medical-Surgical patients with surgical oncology focus
• Patient populations include surgical oncology (breast, thyroid, melanoma), hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastic/reconstructive surgery patients
• Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and respiratory services
• Manage specialized procedures including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, insulin/heparin drips, and oncologic emergencies
• 36-bed unit with comprehensive telemetry monitoring (GE telemetry system) and modern equipment including Alaris pumps and Stryker beds
• Float requirements within scope of practice to other acute care oncology units

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of PCU experience (must be current and worked consistently within the last 12 months)
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Competency in BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and tracheostomy care
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
