Respiratory Therapist (RT) - $10,000 Sign On Bonus

Employment Type & Shift Full time, 12‑hour night shift. Sign‑on bonus: $10,000. Position Purpose The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT), within the Ohio Scope of Practice, provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing to chronically and acutely ill patients requiring respiratory care. What You Will Do Provide respiratory care, ensuring an environment of patient safety. Promote evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives. Perform duties outside normal routine care as needed. Initiate and administer therapeutic procedures, diagnostic tests, and education in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Record information and patient assessment in the medical record and maintain departmental records. Precept new employees and participate in student clinical rotations. Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to maintain respiratory therapy equipment. Communicate pertinent clinical information and collaborate with physicians, house staff, and other health care disciplines regarding patient care and treatment plans. Minimum Qualifications Education: Successful completion of a 2‑ or 4‑year Respiratory Care Program, or completion of additional educational requirements for eligibility to obtain registry credentials. Licensure/Certification: Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License and National Board of Respiratory Care credential indicating RRT or CRT. Experience: Clinical experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures such as aerosolized delivery of medication, mechanical ventilation, intubation and extubation assistance, pulmonary function studies, emergency care, and arterial blood gas interpretation.
