About This Role
Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Associate Teacher!
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Associate Teacher to join our dynamic team! Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and making a positive impact on the lives of children?
What You'll DoResponsibilities:
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, while observing and assessing their progress.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience and maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children, and foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's experiences and development, and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities, and develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate play-based curriculum and activities.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, attend professional development opportunities, and obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Observe and document children’s progress, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Help children learn and grow through engaging, age-appropriate activities, and support children’s learning and development.
- Foster a love of learning in children, and provide a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and assist with classroom setup and organization.
Qualifications:
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and play-based learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Experience working with young children.
- Strong CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field can be an asset.
