Position Overview

NuWest is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a 7-week evening contract in Glendive, Montana, starting October 11, 2026. You will provide compassionate, hands-on daily care to residents in an extended care setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and committed to treating every resident with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
Assist with meals and hydration, and document intake as required
Measure and record vital signs, weight, and other observations, and report any changes to the nurse promptly
Help residents move safely, including transferring, repositioning, and walking, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
Provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by changing linens and tidying resident rooms
Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs, and offer emotional support and companionship
Document care accurately and communicate with the nursing team throughout the shift
Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and HIPAA standards

Required Qualifications

Active CNA certification valid in Montana
Experience working as a CNA
Availability for rotating weekends and holidays
Must pass background check and drug screening
