About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: RN license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in acute care within the last 3 years in the specialty - Comfort with general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgical systems - Ability to transition to open surgery if required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The focus will be on Tier 4 general surgery and Tier 5 procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in kidney and pancreas transplants, procurements, HIPEC, and trauma surgeries. Experience with laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in handling complex surgical cases including Whipple, colectomy, and appendectomy. Knowledge of patient safety protocols and infection control measures is required. Floating to other areas may be necessary as needed. Full compliance with telemetry testing will be required prior to starting. Passing scores for critical exams on lethal rhythms are mandatory. Familiarity with electronic charting systems is necessary. Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
