Sonography Technologist - Ultrasound - 40 Hours - Midnights

New and Enhanced Pay Rates! Up to $7,500 Sign-on Bonus General Summary Shift: FT 40 hours per week, midnight shift 5:30p-6a with rotating weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures. Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures. Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations. Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel. Locks/Tags out equipment if appropriate. Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history). Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in the department. Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies. Education/Experience Required High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree within 6 months of hire. Certification/Licences Required BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (obtained prior to hire), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from ARRT (obtained within 12 months of hire), or Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) (obtained within 12 months of hire), or Cardiographic Tech credentialed from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) (obtained prior to hire), or Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) or ARDMS (obtained within 12 months of hire). Additional Preferences General, vascular, and breast ultrasound experience preferred. General and vascular experience required. Vascular certification required within one year of hire.
