Senior Registered Nurse SupervisorThe Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a motivated, dynamic individual to join our team at Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans' Nursing Home in Saint Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida. This position offers an annual salary of $72,113.08 paid bi-weekly. The facility provides excellent patient care resources, a ceiling lift system in every patient room and their bathroom, ample supplies and PPE equipment, and a state-of-the-art smoke-free environment. Additional benefits include an on-site pharmacy, an excellent retirement package, health, vision, dental, disability, and other supplemental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, nine paid holidays and a personal day, and a tuition waiver for State Universities and Community Colleges.The FDVA Nursing State Veterans' Nursing Homes are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program, which may provide nursing education loan repayments of up to $4000 per year for a maximum of four years.Minimum qualifications include a valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, a valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR), the ability to work on a schedule that includes weekends and holidays, three years' experience providing nursing services in a long-term health care environment, at least one year of supervisory experience, experience working with Electronic Medical Records, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Successful completion of a Level II background check and drug test is also required.Preferred qualifications include experience working with Matrix Care, experience in staff development or conduction of in-service training, and knowledge of the use of computer applications: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).The incumbent is responsible for providing quality professional care to veteran residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act. This includes performing initial and ongoing assessments of the resident population, administering medications and treatments per MD order, monitoring and providing interventions to meet the needs of the resident, completing accurate clinical documentation, supervising and directing nursing personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in continuing educational programs for self-development and overall quality improvement.
