SQL Engineer / SQL Developer - Job Description (First-Person Style)


I am an experienced SQL Developer with expertise in designing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale databases to support critical business applications and analytics.

  • Proficient in SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle for database development, management, and optimization.
  • Skilled in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexes for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Strong experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes , data migration, and integration across multiple systems.
  • Proficient in query optimization and performance tuning to ensure fast and reliable database operations.
  • Experienced in data modeling, schema design, normalization, and relational database best practices .
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI/Tableau for building reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Hands-on with database security, backup & recovery strategies, and high-availability (clustering, replication, mirroring) .
  • Strong ability to work with large datasets, analytics queries, and real-time data pipelines .
  • Comfortable collaborating with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability.
