Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting patients and their families in relation to diagnoses and treatments.

  Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including crisis intervention and both short- and long-term therapeutic techniques.

  Collaborate with an interdisciplinary health care team to ensure holistic patient-centered care, actively involving patients and their families in treatment discussions and discharge planning.

  Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with consulting physicians, insurance providers, and other health care professionals to ensure appropriate transitions of care.

  Provide essential education and counseling for patients and families about coping with illnesses and navigating social supports.

  Serve as a resource for other staff members, offering insights and guidance regarding psychosocial issues.

  Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hour support, ensuring availability for urgent patient needs.

  Occasionally conduct involuntary examinations under the Baker Act when clinically justified, ensuring proper adherence to legal and ethical standards.

  Lead educational presentations at conferences that highlight your expertise in psychosocial care, notably in oncology settings.

  Engage with the community through educational initiatives and programs dedicated to the needs of cancer survivors and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients within the mental health spectrum, particularly those facing significant challenges such as chronic illness, anxiety, and depression. Qualifications\n

  A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
