Senior Platform Engineer-Design

Our client is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, and automation initiatives. This role will focus on building scalable platform solutions, improving system reliability, and driving automation across development and operations teams. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.

Starting at $200,000/year.

Senior Platform Engineer's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, Ruby, Bash, or similar scripting languages
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes

Senior Platform Engineer's Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related role
• Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, Ruby, Bash, Perl, or similar technologies
• Strong Linux/Unix systems administration experience
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
