Logistics Distribution AssistantReporting to the Logistics Supervisor, this position involves all activities relating to distribution operations executing all receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing of construction supply material and dispatching of delivery trucks for delivery of construction supply material.Job DutiesProvides general assistance, including pulling and staging ordersPerforms bin location maintenancePerforms tasks to ensure safety, organization and cleanliness of the warehouseAssists in conducting cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracyAttends safety training and meetings; follows rules and regulationsPerforms forklift inspections and completes reports, forklift operationCommunicate consistently with management, all branch personnelMay perform Receiving and Shipping functions as follows:Verifying inventory against purchase orders for accuracyReceiving inventory into the NEFCO ERP software systemStaging/Shelving inventoryUses RF technology to pick orders and verifies itemsSends picked orders to packing departmentPack goods following NEFCO processes and proceduresLoads trucks with packed orders in a specified sequenceDetails:Monday – FridayTypically 40 hours (OT available depending on NEFCO needs)Requirements:High school diploma (or equivalent)Ability to use NEFCO's ERP software systemAbility to use warehouse layouts for planning purposesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plusBasic computer skillsMust have a positive, hard-working attitudeAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skillsAbility to stands on concrete floor for long periods of timeMust be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of timeAbility to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for liftingAbility to safely lift up to 75 lbs.Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documentsAbility to operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) and be recertifiedMust be detail-oriented and hands on 'roll up the sleeves' type with aptitude for multi-tasking and adapting to a fast-paced environment with ever changing prioritiesThis is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.
