Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Job Summary:
The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing specialized skin and wound management, ensuring comprehensive patient assessments, and developing individualized care plans. This role involves educating patients and families, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient wounds and skin conditions to determine appropriate intervention strategies.
• Implement and coordinate individualized wound care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and families on wound care procedures, prevention, and management.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately within Epic electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, support staff, and patients to optimize care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN license with proof uploaded within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including charge experience.
• Certified Wound Care Nurse (WCC) and Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) credentials preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate experience with Epic electronic health records.
• Ability to handle a patient acuity ratio of approximately one patient every 30 minutes.
