Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of innovative, cost-effective, and energy-efficient electrical systems for HVAC projects. Salary $100k - $160k (Can go up to $180k) Car allowance: $700 Gas Card Cell phone stipend Key Responsibilities Proposal Development As an Electrical Design Engineer, support project teams by identifying sales opportunities and helping develop proposals to close new contracts. Create detailed proposals, including material and equipment pricing, vendor/subcontractor quotes, manpower estimates, project phasing, duration, and customer RFP requirements. General Responsibilities Participate in meetings, site walks, and calls, while maintaining clear communication between all project stakeholders. As an Electrical Design Engineer, define project specifications by reviewing existing designs, customer requirements, and performance standards. Identify project phases and responsibilities, ensuring on-time delivery of design documents, product performance details, and construction feasibility. Support team success by contributing to project deliverables and problem‑solving initiatives. Design and Procurement As an Electrical Design Engineer, generate and review engineering documents for completeness, scope compliance, and cost efficiency. Analyze cost comparisons and collaborate with construction teams to implement time and cost‑saving practices. Ensure the timely delivery of technical data packages, coordinating design completion dates with engineering and assisting project managers with delivery. Construction Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and training across electrical trades. Participate in construction kick‑off meetings and support the project manager in managing design changes and deviations. Recommend process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee project planning documents, including coordinating procurement of electrical equipment, technical materials, and delivery scheduling. As an Electrical Design Engineer, monitor project progress, coordinating activities and resolving issues quickly to maintain the project schedule. Project Close‑Out Oversee the translation of project “red‑line” drawings to as‑built construction documents. Ensure delivery of software backups and other digital project media to clients. Complete post‑construction site‑walk for project completion verification. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline. 6+ years of related project experience in electrical engineering. PE license preferred or must be willing to obtain a Texas PE license. Experience with electrical design for complex HVAC commercial and industrial projects. Ability to communicate with customers and stakeholders in a professional manner. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
