Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Portage that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying against purchase orders for accuracy.
• Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers for timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving areas for cleanliness and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing
• Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records and shipments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with the role

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift, including relevant certification.
• Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
