Sonographer

RAYUS offers DailyPay. The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $56.00 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist. This per diem role requires operating assigned scanners to produce diagnostic images with excellent patient service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Screens patient before exam for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers. Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately. Performs routine and advanced sonography imaging procedures with minimal supervision, supporting patients throughout. Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed. Follows physicians' orders precisely, maintains safety regulations, and accurately records patient data in the Radiology Information System. Maintains an orderly, clean work area and sanitizes equipment. Maintains the American College of Radiology toolkit and accreditation requirements. SONOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT SUPPORT (5%) Assists with updating imaging protocol manual and software upgrades. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies. Assists in training new team members. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED (5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Graduated from an AMA accredited sonography program or CAAHEP program. Registered ARDMS sonographer, current and in good standing. Sonography certification in a specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.). Licensed sonographer in the appropriate state (if applicable). Current CPR certification. Sufficient training and experience to perform sonography procedures independently. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Certification in ACLS. OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. Bilingual. BENEFITS Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with company match.
