Job Title: TIG Welder - Days/Nights Job Description

Join a dynamic sheet metal shop known for crafting a variety of products, from metal cabinets to water tanks. We are seeking skilled TIG welders who can excel in performing precise welds on stainless steel. Your expertise will contribute to our diverse array of projects.

• Perform TIG welding on 18 gauge - 20 gauge stainless steel.
• Set up and adjust welding machines for different job requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate welding.
• Maintain all necessary safety equipment including welding hood, gloves, leathers, earplugs, and safety glasses.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including wearing steel-toed boots on the shop floor.

• Proficiency in TIG welding, particularly on 18 gauge - 20 gauge stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with welding 12 gauge - 24 gauge materials.
• Capability to pass a TIG test (box test).

• Own welding equipment, including hood, shield, and steel-toed shoes.
• Experience in aluminum welding and metal fabrication is a plus.

Work in a small job shop with a focus on stainless steel projects. The shop operates Monday to Thursday, offering both day (5:00 am – 3:30 pm) and night (3:30 pm – 2:00 am) shifts, each lasting 10 hours. The night shift includes a 10% differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Salt Lake, UT.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in North Salt Lake,UT.
