Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Step-Down (Travel)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care between ICU and general medical floors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including royal blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, Step-Down, or IMC setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required (may be obtained within the first 3 weeks of assignment start)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems in an acute care environment
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills appropriate for intermediate-level patient acuity
• Familiarity with night shift workflows in a high-volume Step-Down or PCU unit
