Residential Operations Manager - Richmond

Residential Operations Manager Location: Richmond, VA Employment: Full-Time Compensation: $80,000–$100,000 + Performance Bonus Lead People. Drive Performance. Build a Winning Team. A1 Door Company is looking for a driven Residential Operations Manager to lead our Richmond residential service operation. This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who enjoys developing people, creating accountability, improving processes, and driving results. You’ll be responsible for helping our residential service team perform at a high level while ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience. We’re looking for more than someone who can manage the day‑to‑day. We want a leader who can identify opportunities, solve problems, develop employees, and continuously make the operation better. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop our residential service team Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance Monitor key performance indicators and use data to identify opportunities for improvement Optimize scheduling, technician capacity, and field execution Work closely with dispatch and office teams to keep daily operations running efficiently Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions Resolve escalated customer concerns and improve the overall customer experience Conduct regular performance conversations, coaching, and training Help ensure company processes, policies, and standards are consistently followed Communicate between technicians, office staff, and company leadership Build a positive, accountable, high-performance culture Drive continuous improvement across the residential service operation What We're Looking For Proven experience leading and developing teams Strong operational and problem‑solving skills Comfortable managing performance through KPIs and measurable goals Ability to coach employees and have difficult accountability conversations when necessaryExcellent communication and organizational skills Strong customer‑service mindset Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment Comfortable using technology and operational software to manage performance Self‑motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Home service, skilled trades, field service, or residential service management experience is strongly preferred.
