Position: Accounting & Audit Domain Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60–$100/hour
Location: Hybrid, Bay Area, California
Commitment: 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate the quality of accounting and audit knowledge work tasks and model outputs. Identify missing behaviors, thin reasoning, and misapplied standards.
- Write high-quality instruction specs and produce golden solutions to accounting and audit problems. Define tasks that reflect practical work.
- Design challenging accounting and audit tasks and evaluation sets. Build domain-specific skills and tools with the research team.
- Collaborate with client researchers and specialists to maintain consistent standards. Translate tacit accounting judgment into explicit criteria.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- An active professional credential, such as CPA , CA , CIA , CFE , or CMA .
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 4+ years of substantive accounting or audit experience at a recognized institution.
- Specialization in areas like external audit, technical accounting, internal audit, tax, forensic accounting, or revenue recognition.
- Progression to a senior level, such as Audit Manager, Senior Manager, or Director of Accounting.
- Hands-on experience with large language models in professional work.
- Excellent written communication skills.
