Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist for PRESNow, a full‑time, 0.90 FTE position (12‑hour nights). The role is exempt from overtime. Responsibilities All Certified Respiratory Therapist responsibilities Assist physicians with Bronchoscopy Procedures, monitoring and assessing consciousness, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems; deliver IV conscious sedation agents (opioids, benzodiazepines, sedative hypnotics) and their reversal agents Initiate ventilator protocols, and coordinate ventilator management Perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation Initiate and monitor high‑frequency ventilators In the NICU: perform surfactant delivery, intubation, and attend high‑risk deliveries Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist duties Initiate and monitor nitric oxide delivery Perform department‑specific functions as detailed within the summary of department duties Other duties as assigned Qualifications 2–3 years college coursework or an Associate’s Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC ACLS and/or PALS, and BLS required Six months to one year critical‑care experience preferred Benefits Educational and career development including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities Staff safety program featuring wearable badges to request help discreetly Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications, and various lead roles Malpractice liability insurance Loan forgiveness program Access to EPIC electronic charting system Wellness program with on‑site and community‑based gyms, nutrition coaching, mindfulness and meditation resources, and wellness challenges AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED.
