Responsibilities
- Care for and treat patients with respiratory and cardiac illness, including COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung disease.
- Evaluate patients’ physical and mental status and monitor responses to therapy; intervene as needed.
- Manage patients on ventilatory support and monitor for cardiopulmonary symptoms.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; problem-solve and function as a collaborative team member.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory standards and patient safety goals; participate in required education for applicable programs.
- Be prepared to float to other departments as needed; support core staff and perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Licenses/registrations: Current Oregon RT license; current RRT credential.
- Certifications: PALS, NRP, BLS, and ACLS required.
- Experience: None required.
- CRASE: CRASE training preferred; if travel extends beyond six months, CRASE training will be required.
- Physical/working ability: Able to lift up to 50 pounds; capable of standing and walking for extended periods; good auditory and visual acuity; ability to use PPE and work in a fast-paced indoor healthcare setting; capable of communicating clearly with patients and staff.
