Springside is looking for a dynamic  Nurse Unit Manager on our long term unit to join our clinical team. Our compassionate and experienced staff welcomes you to work alongside them and join our team! Springside is a beautiful facility located in Pittsfield, MA that is filled with friendly faces and new opportunities!

Requirements for Nurse Unit Manager:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as an RN or LPN in Massachusetts or New York - we will assist with reciprocity
  • Current CPR certification
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
  • Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and infection control/prevention
  • Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.

Job Duties of Nurse Unit Manager:

  • Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care
  • Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach
  • Oversee unit & nursing staff and assist as needed
  • Assists with the orientation, education, competency, and practice improvement of other nursing personnel
  • Surveillance of resident and staff infections monthly with attack rate and appropriateness of isolation quarterly
  • Act in the capacity of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence
