Transplant Coordinator

Overview: JOB PURPOSE: The Heart Transplant Coordinator is responsible for managing the care of Heart transplant recipients throughout the post-surgical phase. This role involves patient education, coordination of care with a multidisciplinary transplant team and ensuring compliance with regulatory and transplant program guidelines. Responsibilities: Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) program and the heart transplant program; to coordinate and manage the patient care of this high-risk patient population throughout the continuum. Qualifications: Education Graduate from a nursing program Required Work Experience 2 years of professional clinical experience Required Cardiovascular focus experience Preferred 1 year experience caring for LVAD patients and heart transplant patients Preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required ACLS Required BCLS - Basic Life Support Required Business Unit : Company Name: Piedmont Atlanta Hospitalaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
