Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist - Dover, DelawareThe Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist provides direct, advanced clinical pharmacy services within the Emergency Department (ED). This role supports safe, timely, and effective medication use for acute and critically ill patients and serves as an integral member of the emergency care team. The pharmacist collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize pharmacotherapy, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced emergency care environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide real-time clinical pharmacy support within the Emergency DepartmentReview, verify, and optimize medication therapy for emergency and critical care patientsParticipate in emergency responses, codes, and rapid clinical decision-makingCollaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication selection, dosing, and safetyEnsure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practicesSupport medication-related education for clinical staff as neededMaintain accurate clinical documentation, reporting, and intervention trackingPromote medication safety initiatives and quality improvement effortsRequired Qualifications & SkillsActive Delaware Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtainBachelor's Degree in PharmacyBoard of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) CertificationCertificate in Emergency Medicine or Critical CareMinimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experienceCompletion of formal clinical pharmacy trainingCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificationsStrong clinical judgment and interdisciplinary communication skillsCore CompetenciesEmergency & Critical Care PharmacotherapyMedication Safety & OptimizationRapid Clinical Decision-MakingInterdisciplinary CollaborationRegulatory & Policy ComplianceClinical DocumentationPatient-Centered Care
