A Day in the Life at M2 M2 Strategy is seeking a highly motivated Budget Analyst to join our firm and support our government clients, commercial clients, and leadership. Desired Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and proven abilities in: Federal budget experience is required Develop, analyze, and manage agency budgets in alignment with federal guidelines and priorities Prepare budget justifications, reports, and supporting documentation for leadership and oversight bodies Monitor budget execution to ensure funds are spent appropriately and within allocated limits Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support funding decisions and program evaluations Track expenditures and identify variances between planned and actual spending Provide financial forecasts and projections based on current and historical data Ensure compliance with federal regulations, policies, and appropriations law Collaborate with program managers to align financial plans with operational goals Use financial systems and tools to maintain accurate budget data and reporting Basic Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a budget environment Superb oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Google Suite) Experience with multi-tasking in a fast-paced and fast-growing company Ability to think strategically, analytically, and proactively about diverse business solutions Operating Status: Most M2 positions are hybrid roles, which will require working both at clients' work locations and teleworking.
