Job Title: Assistant Store ManagerDepartment: OperationsHiring Range: $14.00-15.00/hr. depending on store location, merit, and employee experience (may be eligible for pay increase after 90-day probationary period)FLSA: Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)DOL Status: Full-time and part-time availableReports to: Store ManagerPosition Summary:The Assistant Manager position is responsible for maintaining and operating a Company-owned retail facility in a safe, customer focused, and profitable manner. Support the Store Manager in daily operations, managing employees, and the store, especially when the manager is not in the store. This includes supervision and training of employees; trouble shooting daily close out and shift sales; and assisting Store Manager with shift coverages. If you have an enthusiastic and upbeat attitude and the knowledge and skills listed below, we want to talk to you!Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in managing the store in-regard to daily operations, employees, payroll, merchandizing, and customer relations.Maintain good customer relations and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.Prepare and transmit the daily bookkeeping, invoicing and gasoline data as requiredAbility to complete daily bankingTroubleshoot daily close out and shift sales analysisAssist the Store Manager with shift coverage in the event there are no other employees available to workSafeguard and account for cash received and disbursed and be responsible for banking requirements.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shiftAbility to lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed (to replenish fountain syrups, stock/maintain inventory, etc.)Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of shift (with appropriate safety equipment)Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to 1 hour of shiftAbility to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands; work requires hand-eye coordination, including climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage, up to 4 hours of shiftWorking Conditions:Perform approximately 95% of duties indoorsExposure to intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes when working in walk-in cooler or freezerWork in small spaces at times; work independentlyWork with minimal direction and periodic supervisionEquipment, Tools, and Materials:Utilize the following electronic equipment: POS (cash register), store telephone, lottery machine, money order machine, phone card machine, EBT machine, Western Union equipment, food-preparation equipment, etc.Utilize the following manual equipment: cleaning supplies (e.g. rubber gloves, mop, broom, degreaser/defoamer, etc.), flat cart, hand truck, grocery basket, etc.Handles liquids, cloth, plastic, glass, paper, rubber, and cleaning solventsCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive SalaryHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability benefitEmployee Assistance ProgramMatching 401(K)Paid Leave and sick leavePaid HolidayQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Experience in retail sales required.Experience in C-Stores is preferred.Experience in managing a retail sales location is preferred.Excellent interpersonal communication skillsFull understanding of competitive relationships and market driversStrong merchandising skills #J-18808-Ljbffr S&s Fuels Management Llc
