Position Summary: We're hiring for an experienced Cost Engineer. We're looking for reliable and hard-working individuals that take pride in their work. The Cost Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the costs of all construction and spending projects are recorded and tracked accurately and timely, and providing relevant reporting to project managers and senior management.

Cost Engineer Responsibilities:

• Oversee internal control policies, recommending changes when needed
• Coordinate with management teams to ensure accuracy within the accounting system
• Maintaining annual budgets
• Manage and review month and year general ledger accounts
• Provide accounting information and guidance to senior management
• Perform quantity take-offs
• Overview and prepare details for new project bids including specific scope of work and comprehensive bid package information
• Coordinate and maintain vendor compliance with contracts
• Perform pre-bid site walks
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

• Cost accounting and budgeting experience required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Construction industry experience preferred
• Exceptional computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and related accounting software
• Aptitude for financial data, able to input data accurately, review and identify errors
