As a Safety Specialist , you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a culture where safety comes first. Partnering closely with the QSHE Manager, you will lead workplace safety initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and help employees develop the knowledge and skills needed to work safely and confidently every day.

How you create impact

• Conduct training (Material handling Equipment and Standard Operating Procedures) during onboarding/orientation for new hires
• Enforce safety rules and safe work practices among all team members
• Supervisor, coach and evaluate trainees
• Identify current and future skill gaps through analysis and performance reviews
• Define metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and report results to management
• Conduct routine daily, weekly or monthly audits and assessments 

What we would like you to bring

• College degree or High School diploma with equivalent xperience
• 2 years leadership, public speaking and interpersonal communication skills
• 2 years in a safety role that required training using Standard Operating Procedures
• 2 years of experience in Contract Logistics or related field.
• Experience with overhead cranes a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication
