The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries, ensuring timely, high-quality care across all age groups.New graduates with urgent care, emergency, or acute care clinical training are encouraged to apply.Essential Position ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuriesPerform physical examinations and obtain detailed medical historiesOrder, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and point-of-care testingPerform minor procedures such as wound care, suturing, splinting, and incision and drainage (as trained)Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plansEducate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, follow-up care, and preventive measuresCollaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered careMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocolsQualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)Licensure & Certification: Active or eligible New York State Nurse Practitioner license; national certification required (FNP or AGNP preferred)Experience: Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care experience preferred; new graduates with relevant clinical training are welcomeCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time offFull-time, stable schedule with shift-based coverageSupportive, mission-driven organization focused on teamwork and clinical excellenceOpportunities for professional development and continuing education
