We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Maintenance Technician I to support the daily operations and upkeep of our facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment by performing essential maintenance tasks, responding to service requests, and assisting senior technicians with more complex system repairs.

Maintenance Technician I Details:

• Temporary position
• $18.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 04:00pm )

• Conduct routine visual inspections of premises, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Provide assistance with fleet maintenance and upkeep activities. 
• Perform basic building system repairs and general facility maintenance, including changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Set up and break down conference rooms, arranging tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment as required. 
• Respond promptly and effectively to various service calls, such as addressing locked drawers, broken file cabinets, non-functioning lights, broken handles, and leaking faucets.
• Assist experienced Maintenance Technicians with tasks related to mechanical and electrical systems, learning and developing new skills. 

Maintenance Technician I Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to perform general building maintenance, janitorial duties, and light repair work.
• Basic understanding of building systems and components.
• Experience as a general laborer or in a similar hands-on maintenance support role.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently on assigned tasks, and collaborate effectively with a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach to service calls.
• Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of electrical principles for assisting with repairs.
