Physical Therapist (PT) - General

Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist

Days, 5 x 8-hour shifts. Some weekends required approximately 12 weekend shifts per month.

Assignment Details

13 weeks assignment, with a start date as soon as possible.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required. First-time travel candidates accepted only if they have 2 years of experience.
• 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.
• BLS certification required. Active state PT license is required.
• Experience with pediatric acute care and outpatient treatment.
• Experience with evaluations, plan of care, and reassessments.
• Knowledge of gait training, transfers, and mobility techniques.
• Experience with wheelchair assessments and adaptive equipment.
• Strong skills in family/patient education, safety/injury prevention, strength testing, ROM, and positioning.
• PICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to a diverse pediatric patient population, including infants, children, and adolescents.
• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and function.
• Educate families and patients on treatment protocols and safety.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Compliance / Notes

Must commit to working at least 3 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. Orientation will be approximately 40 hours. Candidates may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities.
