Nurse EducatorJob Summary:Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse Educator serves as a specialist in the design, development, provision, evaluation, and review of education while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.Hours:40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.Day ShiftEssential Job Functions:Responsible for the coordination and provision of educationOversees, develops, and facilitates new hire and clinical orientationDevelops and facilitates annual provider educationFacilitates the center-based annual and ongoing education and competency validationsAssures compliance with local, state federal guidelines and regulations governing hospitals through collaborative communication with leadershipDevelops, coordinates, and documents computer-based learning assignmentsOversees BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications and programmingFollows up with staff directly when educational components become dueMeets with all new hire clinical staff to identify additional educational opportunities needed or requestedMeets with clinical managers monthly to discuss educational opportunities and needs for the departmentCreates education for departments as neededRounds regularly throughout the center to check-in with staff and provide educational opportunitiesAttends staff meetings and in-services and provides education as necessaryBe available for on-demand educational needs for the centerCollects, maintains, and reports data as requiredRegular and prompt work-site attendanceWork assigned clinical shifts as necessaryOther duties as assignedQualifications, Knowledge & Ability:Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.Current licensure as RNBLS/ACLS/PALS certification are required upon hireExperience in program development is preferredTwo years of experience in surgical services preferredMaster's in education preferredAbility to relate and work effectively with othersDemonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standardsExperience using Microsoft Office products is preferredWillingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancementIs aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with themBenefits:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account with an employer contributionLife InsurancePTO401(k) retirement plan with a company matchAnd more!Equal Employment Opportunity & Work Force DiversityOur organization is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, creed, sex, religion, marital status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, parental status, sexual orientation, veteran status, genetic testing results or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state or local laws.
