You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program. Active North Carolina PTA license required to start the assignment. BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required or must be obtainable prior to start. Experience working in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) or long-term care setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with older adult populations, including fall prevention, mobility training, and ADL (activities of daily living) retraining preferred. Proficiency with common therapeutic modalities and equipment such as gait belts, walkers, canes, transfer devices, and basic therapeutic exercise programs preferred. Current CPR certification required. Ability to comply with facility-specific vaccination and background screening policies.
