AXI Operator

Role Summary As an AXI Operator, you support product quality by using X-ray inspection to evaluate hidden solder joints on printed circuit boards and help ensure only conforming assemblies move forward. You’ll partner with AOI Operators to align on accept/reject standards and document findings clearly. Key Responsibilities Inspecting solder joint quality via AXI and reviewing images on the connected PC Coordinating with AOI Operators to confirm criteria and disposition decisions Loading and unloading PCBs (up to 10 lbs.) while maintaining careful handling Required/Preferred Qualifications Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment (preferred) 1+ year in a similar inspection/quality role (preferred) Prior IPC certification (preferred) Benefits Package Medical, dental, and vision coverage are provided, along with a 401(k) plan. Life insurance is also included. Typical Shift You’ll start by setting up your workstation and confirming the AXI system and PC are ready for the day’s inspection flow. As boards arrive, you move through a steady cadence of imaging, reviewing, and recording results, staying focused on fine details that aren’t visible to the naked eye. Mid-shift, you’ll touch base with nearby teammates to keep alignment on inspection outcomes and keep work moving smoothly.
