About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit – Texas

Start Date: September 3, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), rotating weekends, 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) serving critically ill patients
• Work with a collaborative team in a facility known for excellence in cardiology, neurosciences, emergency medicine, and orthopedics
• Gain experience with advanced critical care procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and more
• Documentation system: Meditech (charting and order entry experience preferred)
• Float pool participation required in accordance with facility policy
• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• MICU and MSICU background highly preferred
• Meditech charting and order entry experience preferred
