Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Mentors junior employees. Key Responsibilities Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases. Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department. Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority. For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims. Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage. Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills. Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties. Skills Auto Insurance Claims Bodily Injury Claims Claims Documentation Injury Assessment Insurance Policies Negotiation Proactive Thinking Quality Documentation Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is: Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00 salary Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00 salary Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable. As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
