OB Hospitalist Opportunity

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a fulltime board-certified OB Hospitalist to join our well established team at Missouri Baptist Medical Center located in St. Louis, Missouri. With a flexible schedule and no at-home call, you'll have the time and predictability to enjoy life outside of medicinewhile practicing in a high-volume, clinically rich environment.

Practice Overview:

• Practice limited to inpatient obstetrical care, admitting and triaging patients
• Includes antepartum, labor and post-partum care of hospital patients
• Rotating schedule to include weekends, weekdays, nights and holidays
• 2 shifts a week: a 12-hour shift and one 24-hour shift
• Obstetrics only
• No at home call required

Compensation & Benefit Highlights:

• Competitive hourly rate with incentives for weekends and holidays ranging from $140 to $175 per hour

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Preferred Qualifications:

Role Purpose:

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
• Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
• Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.

• Doctorate - Medicine
